Synopsis of Workshop:
This workshop will be based on Bhikkhu Bodhi’s book “The Buddha’s Teachings on Social and Communal Harmony”. There will be a series oftalks,Q&A,group discussions,and brief sharings on the topics of “Right Understanding”, “Personal Training”, “Dealing with Anger”, “Proper Speech”, “Good Friendship”, “One’s Own Good & the Good of Others”, “Community” &and “Settling Disputes”. Participants will be provided with handouts and will leave with many new ideas on improving harmony in their daily lives.
Bro Rob is a retired Canadian engineer who has lived in Malaysia for more than 25 years. He has been teaching Abhidhamma at Brickfields MahāVihāra for 15 years and currently spends a lot of time in meditation retreats. In 2017, he gave a very popular “Clearing Up Misconceptions of Kamma” workshop in BGF and “Practical Abhidhamma” course prior to that.
