About Dr. Wong
Dr. Wong graduated from the University of Malaya and was Visiting Lecturer at his alma mater in 1988 -1989. He joined Monash University Malaysia in Feb 2007 to form the pioneer faculty of the Clinical School in Johor Bahru. Dr Wong is working as a Physician and teaching medical students and doctors in Johor Bahru since 1990. He has been sharing the Dhamma regularly in Johor Bahru, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok and Manila the past one and a half decades and was an invited speaker at the 3rd, 7th and 8th Global Conferences on Buddhism.
He teaches a weekly Dhamma class at Metta Lodge Buddhist Centre in Johor Bahru since 2004. Dr. Wong now divides his time equally between his clinical work and his teaching commitments to both the medical school and the Buddhist community.
Dr. Punna Wong Yin Onn, MBBS (Mal), MRCP (UK), AM (M’sia), FRCP (Glasgow) is an Associate Prof in Internal Medicine at Monash University Malaysia, Johor Baru. He has been sharing the Dhamma in Johor Baru, Singapore, and regionally for the past one and a half decades. He was an invited speaker at the 3rd, 7th and 8th Global Conferences on Buddhism.
Dr. Punna Wong recently launched his 2nd book entitled “Breaking Myths” and is now sharing chapters from his book weekly on Friday nights.
