Who is Venerable You Deng

Shih You Deng has a Bachelors Degree in Buddhist Studies, Tsung Lin University, Taiwan, Masters Degree in Education Policy and Society, Cardiff University, United Kingdom and is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Psychology from UM. Ven is a lecturer in Dong Zen Buddhist College and Vice President of Buddha’s Light International Association – Young Adult Division, Malaysia Chapter. She is also an Adviser to the Humanistic Buddhism Research Centre,UM and Head of the President’s Office Fo Guang Shan Education Centre Bhd. She is a regular dharma speaker in Singapore and Malaysia’s tertiary institutions.

    Venerable You Deng
    Vice-President of the Buddha’s Light International Association – Young Adult Division, Malaysia Chapter

    Venerable You Deng is currently the Vice-President of the Buddha’s Light International Association – Young Adult Division, Malaysia Chapter. She is also a lecturer in Dong Zen Buddhist College. Her previous positions include being the Spiritual Advisor to the Buddha’s Light Association (Singapore), Young Adult Division.

    She graduated from Fo Guang Shan Tsung Lin University, International Buddhist College – English Division. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Management) from Massey University, New Zealand and a Masters in Education Policy and Society from Cardiff University, UK. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Educational Psychology from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
