Who is Paolo Coluzzi
Paolo Coluzzi is an Associate Professor at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he teaches Italian and sociolinguistics.
He first became interested in Buddhism – Theravada Buddhism in particular – at the age of seventeen, a fascination which has deepened by contact with the many monks and Dharma experts he has encountered on his journeys.
For seventeen years he has taken every opportunity to travel extensively, particularly in South and Southeast Asia, making notes and gathering reflections along the way.
His book Buddhism and Pilgrimage: A Journey to the Four Sites (Oxford: Mud Pie) came out in 2021. In addition, he contributes regularly to the Buddhist magazine BMV Digest.
