About Sister Sylvia Bay

Sister Sylvia Bay has dedicated herself to the study and practice of the Buddha’s teachings since 1992. She holds a B.A.(Hons) in Buddhist Studies from the Buddhist & Pali University of Sri Lanka where she currently lectures. She also has a Masters in International Public Policy from the John Hopkins School of Advanced Studies.

Since 2001, Sylvia has been giving talks on Buddhist doctrines and its applications both to local groups in Singapore and regionally. In 2013, she published her first book, “Between the Lines: An Analytical Appreciation of the Buddha’s Life”. She is now working on her 2nd book “Towards the Light: The Buddha’s Guide to a Heavenly Rebirth.”
