Wesak is round the corner! We are glad to invite you and your family including your friends to BGF to celebrate Wesak together with us.
Buddhist Art Exhibition
This year, we will be hosting Bhikkhu Uttamo from Kathmandu, Nepal. He is a monk with a talent in oil painting on canvas. His art work had also been displayed in numerous countries including India, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Bhikkhu Uttamo was ordained by Sayadaw Jnannapurnik. He then grew up and spent most of the time in Kathmandu. He will be displaying his art pieces and some of it will be used to raise funds for BGF and the Nepal Earthquake Restoration Project spearheaded by himself.
The art exhibition will begin on 26 May 2018 at 9.30am, BGF’s K. Sri Dhammananda Assembly Hall, Level 2. The exhibition will be running utill 29 May 2018.
Wesak Eve and Wesak Day Celebration
As for Wesak Eve and Wesak Day, there is a line-up of events such as Offerings, Blessings, Sharing Session, Musical Performances including invocation and aspirations.
Wesak Eve Programme will begin at 7.30 pm with a Puja and 9.30 am on Wesak Day, 29 May 2018 (Tuesday).
There will also be food and charity sales on Wesak Eve and day.
