Good mental health helps you enjoy life and cope with problems. It offers a feeling of well-being and inner strength. Just as you take care of your body by eating right and exercising, you can do things to protect your mental health. Counseling allows individuals to explore their feelings and behaviours, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change and work towards desired change. Our short counseling course is a good way to start. Level 1 is appropriately structured to focus on personal development while Level 2 covers knowledge to help others.

On 19 May, Wesak Day 2019, BGFCU set up a Listening Booth corner on the 2nd Floor of the BGF Centre, offering devotees a relaxed yet private environment for a chat over a cup of tea. The Booth was open from 10 am to 4 pm, and received a steady stream of visitors who stayed for a chat with our helpline para-counselors.
